Hillhouse, Hamilton

Hillhouse is a council-built housing estate on the western border of Hamilton in South Lanarkshire, Scotland. It was built in 1954 with some expansion taking place in the mid 1960s. Civic amenities include Udston and St Ninian's Primary Schools, Hillhouse Civic Centre, Hillhouse Library, and the Jock Stein Sports Centre and playing fields.

Also in Hillhouse is the famous Burnbank Bowling Club, where legendary Celtic manager Jock Stein was the Club's 2nd Champion in 1953. Burnbank Hamilton Bowling Club

The most "famous son" of the estate is the legendary Rangers, and Scottish international football player Davie Cooper who hailed from Brankholm Brae.
