The New Haven Register reports 6-26-07 that Yale University which has closed its Kent State Collection about the May 4, 1970 killing of four students by Ohio National Guardsmen, to new donors has been offered the papers and autobiographical manuscript of the late Kent State president Glenn A. Olds (Yale PhD'47) by his widow, Eva Olds. Yale preisdent Richard C. Levin has agreed to consider the Olds donation if Mrs. Olds contacts the university. Mrs Olds believes she should be contacted, not the other way around. At the moment, the matter is an unfortunate and perhaps unintentional stalemate in presidential etiquette between a current university president and the widow of a deceased one.
