[edit] Not highest town

I deleted the reference that said Highlands calls itself the highest town east of the Rockies. That distinction actually belongs to Beech Mountain, NC. Although the post didn't say "Highlands is the highest incorporated town east of the Rocky Mountains," I felt it was still misleading and bordering on non-factual. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Mishmash8 (talkcontribs)

This article sounds like an advertisement for Highlands, and yes Beech Mountain is the highest town in the eastern United States at 5550 ft over 1300 ft higher than Highlands. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 24.181.202.2 (talk) 20:03, 12 September 2007 (UTC)
