[edit] SIXAXIS?

The PS3 controller cannot tell where it is or what direction it is moving so the player cannot replicate a real bowing action. It is likely to be only a flick of the wrist action at best. -- 86.17.209.61 18:43, 15 November 2007 (UTC)

It does not work on flick of the wrist. I have it and you actually have to replicate a bowling swing. The reason is that this is the only way to accurately measure how much force you use and when you release the ball. If your swing is to far out the ball will bounce.--Primetimeking (talk) 07:06, 8 December 2007 (UTC)

The sixaxis is capable of sensing orientation on the angular axises, as well as acceleration on the linear axises. Although it is true that it cannot tell "where it is", it CAN tell what direction it is moving. I speculate the original commenter is attempting to contrast the Sixaxis with the Wiimote, often accused of only adding "flick of the wrist" action to games. If that is the case, I'll remind everyone that the Wiimote is similarly "blind" to its position when oriented in any other way than pointing in the direction of the sensor bar, and yet many games do just fine recording complex motions while the Wiimote is oriented vertically or horizontally. The technology at work can be employed on both styles of controllers. 70.65.53.168 (talk) 08:34, 10 December 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Online Play

Where is this from? I have had the game for awhile now and see no way to assess any online play mode, the only online feature I found is the availability to download new characters from in game. Was it taken from some other site or just unconfirmed speculation?69.145.194.67 (talk) 19:26, 20 January 2008 (UTC)
