I think it was useful when it gave details on what sort of things were decided but as this was removed, it definately did not deserve a full section. Good idea on merging the sections ;) Slayer2004C 19:00, 23 February 2007 (UTC)

New contracts?

I think a credible source is needed to back up the claim that the three cast members signed new contracts; NY Post is highly unreliable and def. not a recommended/credible source. Storched 02:21, 20 February 2007 (UTC)

You are correct - this is not true at all. You might want to check out the site Tommy2.Net. Last year it featured more original audio interviews with the cast than any other place. Will someone please fix this? If you would like contact information for two of the three people involved I can get you it to confirm the facts. The news is only cited by one source which is TMZ.com, not necessarily the most accurate for newsworth infomation. Also, one with little to no coverage on High School Musical. Since I got emailed about this ... Mention of 'this was reported but everyone came back to work' is perfectly fine for an encyclopedia. We're recording what happened. Heck we even say 'were reported'. This is true. They were reported. It turned out to be meaningless, but it's still of note. That's all. Who is Trever Bolton?

I saw in the Internet Movie Database that there is going to be a Trever Bolton. (I saw earlier someone said that site wasn't reliable?) Anyway, does anyone know who that is? In the article, Chris Warren Jr., the guy who plays Zeke, it is said that he will reprise his role in High School Musical 2, so should we add him, or should that article be altered? Teeple12 23:08, 28 March 2007 (UTC)

HOLDING OUT?

This shouldn't even be in there. It was a loose rumor without facts. If you DECIDE to use it to chronicle history you ethically need to make some modifications. Actually the wiki information and dates are wrong as well. They're off by a full week - which helps prove misguided the rumor was. The story broke on a Friday (business day) and the contracts were resolved on a Saturday or Sunday? I don't think so.

FACT: On Feburary 9th TMZ reported "Reps for Hudgens, Bleu and Tisdale all declined comment"
FACT: TMZ.com never called the reps for Corbin Bleu and Tisdale.

FACT: On February 9th TMZ reported Ashley and Corbin weren't going to rehearsal and "that while the cast is expected to fly to Utah on Sunday (Feb. 11th) to begin rehearsals, Tisdale, Bleu and Hudgens may well be staying put until their deals can be revised for the better." (Key word they used MAY)
FACT: On February 11th Ashley, Corbin and Vanessa were on a plane to Utah. (Documented by Tommy2.Net)

It has been confirmed that the film will premiere in the UK in september, as i have emailed disney and they confirmed this... Can this be added somewhere? i added it but it was removed..

Plot/Characters

I am fairly sure that that was just somebody vandalising, and I have changed it back to what it was before.

A Cameo Does Not Equal Main Cast

On Miley's cameo

A big note for you people who think Hannah Montana is in HSM2; she's not. Miley Cyrus has a cameo, which means she does not speak or sing profusely (or at all). As a matter of fact, the camera will be on her for probably no longer than five seconds before zooming to someone else. There will be no time to introduce her as Hannah Montana, and therefore any "Miley Cyrus as Hannah Montana" claims are bogus. ("Miley Cyrus as Random Girl #5" but not as Hannah Montana.)

A cameo is when they appear in the movie as an extra for a short period of time. There's usually no acting involved, no singing, no anything; as I said above, you'll be lucky if the camera is on her at all. You may need good eyes to see her! She will not have any songs on the soundtrack, no HM episodes will make any mention of it. She's just going to be a random extra. That's what a cameo's all about.

Don't you think if she was actually in the movie, news sources all over would be advertising the heck out of this fact? Besides, why would Disney merge Hannah and HSM? Zei-ness 02:47, 30 May 2007 (UTC)

A more recent entry (since deleted) resurrected the Tallulah character, this time claiming Amanda Bynes was playing her, which I'm positive I would have heard about somewhere if there was any truth to it. WAVY 10 14:00, 3 July 2007 (UTC)
