Highway 518 (Ontario)

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Highway 518 is a provincial secondary highway in the Canadian province of Ontario. Highway 518 spans 79 kilometers (49 miles) from its western and eastern termini. It serves as one of the many links between Highway 400 and Highway 11. Its route passes through the communities of Orrville, Bear Lake, Sprucedale, Emsdale and Kearney.

The westernmost section of 518, between Highway 69/Highway 400 and Oastler Park Drive, was decommissioned from the highway upon the opening of the Highway 400 freeway alignment in the area in 2004, and is now known only as Hunter Drive.

The interchange of Highways 518 and 400 is the only one in Ontario between a 400-series highway and a provincial secondary highway.
