[edit] Deacons?

The article mentions that deacons are included among hieromartyrs. My understanding is that the term "hieromartyr" applies only to priests and bishops who have been martyred. Granted, a monastic deacon is referred to as a hierodeacon, but I've never seen a martyred deacon called hieromartyr. Does anyone have any sources about this?
