heute (English: today) is a free, ad-financed daily German language, tabloid format newspaper in Switzerland, launched on 15 May 2006. It is the second Pendlerzeitung (commuter newspaper) in Switzerland, after 20 Minuten. It is distributed after 3 PM (15:00 hours) in boxes on public places like train stations.
With a claimed initial print run of 200,000, heute is one of the largest daily newspaper in Switzerland, according to their own statistics.
