[edit] This doesn't seem right

Hertford East station originally was opened in 1843 but was later relocated further east in 1888. One of the reasons for this was due to the Beeching Axe. The line used to link to Hertford North railway station on the Hertford Loop Line.

The Beeching Axe has nothing to do with the 1888 change. According to Jowett, the original station was called Hertford. The railways in the area looked like this (Jowett}:-

You're right. I misread the Discover Hertford article. I need to rework this and i am going to implement your improvement. I don't believe how badly i misread it. Simply south (talk) 00:59, 9 March 2008 (UTC)
