[edit] pictoral views of hersey

--I'm going to call on some of the locals here to help me out with this, I think it would be great for anyone to add some photos of the beautiful farm land that is in this area. The dairies, the horse farms, the amish, and some of the most beautiful stone homes I've seen in michigan are old farmsteads here in the Osceola area. The general store ,the churches and some of the homes on mainstreet Hersey, make it a wonderful sightseeing tour. Even the old roller mills building leads to the ambiance of a rich and intriguing history. The Rails to Trails offers very scenic views and a safe place for anyone in the family to recreate, wether it be by good old fashioned walking or biking right up to all the new gadgets kids have rollerblades, heelies, skateboards,or scooters, the trail is a paved section that runs through Hersey, from Reed City to Evart. A section of the old Pere Marquette railway that was turned into a family trailway for hikers and bikers to enjoy. Both locals and tourists have a great time on these trails. Not far from Hersey is the Paris fish hatchery. Right on old U.S. 131 you'll find a charming old building in paris which the State maintians along with it's fish hatchery and an R.V. park for camping. there is an antique store across the road as well for entertainment. There are many things to do and see in this small village and the cluster of small towns around them, if you keep your mind, ears and eyes open! Hersey's annual heritage days celebration is coming up this years parade will be saturday june 7 2008. --Americanfarms2001 (talk) 12:43, 12 May 2008 (UTC)
