From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
The PowerPC e700 or NG-64 (Next Generation 64-bit) is a line of future high performance 64-bit embedded RISC-processor cores built using Power Architecture technology designed by Freescale.
In 2004 Freescale announced a new high performance core. Not much is known about it, and much is still subject to change. The latest news is that it will be a multi core, multithreaded design using CoreNet technology, shared with the e500-mc core. There will be a three issue core with double precision FPU. Roadmaps have shown a target frequenzy of +3 GHz, manufactured on a 32 nm process and that the chips will be named on a MPC87xx scheme.
