The main entry should state that it's very likely that he published MSL, but:
"...although he has often suggested as its author - most
recently, strongly and publicly in "The Erotomaniac"
by Ian Gibson" - this has not been proven..."

American prudery might not like the remark, but I think it is utterly obvious that James G. Thurber was inspired by "My secret life" by "Walter" to create his deservedly most famous "The secret life of Walter Mitty". (Awaler (talk) 21:23, 26 April 2008 (UTC))
