[edit] Larsen would be British citizen

Canada had no citizenship laws until 1947. Until then, naturalized residents held British citizenship. Anyone resident in Canada and holding valid residency in 1947 would automatically attain Canadian citizenship. GBC 20:24, 28 July 2005 (UTC)

[edit] accuracy

I removed the assertion that the Maud (ship) preceded the St. Roch. I explained why here.

Good catch, thanks! Onepointfive2.0 15:53, 14 July 2007 (UTC)

I think the part about Canadian sovereignty should be removed or rewritten. The statement "There were difficulties in the American/Canadian alliance during World War II, manifested during the construction of the Alaska Highway. [citation needed]" is seriously misleading. The difficulties were minor, had little to do with sovereignty, and nothing to do with the Arctic. Please give proof for this statement, or remove it. —Preceding unsigned comment added by BillBC (talk • contribs) 17:52, 20 September 2007 (UTC)
