[edit] rank

why does it refer to him as a BG, when he was a MG when he commanded the 2ID and a LTG while serving as the XVIII ABN CORPS? if there are no responses to this in a couple days, i'm going to change it to Lieutenant General Parsecboy 13:34, 10 November 2006 (UTC)

My Camp Casey Service 74-75, Gunfighter was one of the Army's most talented officers. I served under General Emerson when he commanded the 2nd ID and was proud to be under his leadership. His Patton like tactics and love for his troops made my Army experience into a powerful memory. I wish our politicians had just 1/4 of General Emerson's leadership and judgement. 4/20/08

[edit] Reverse cycle training

It is not correct that "he insisted his troops train only at night" He was a believer in reverse cycle training (Traing at night, sleep during the day) however he did not keep this up year round.Eomrat 17:26, 27 January 2007 (UTC)
