The Henry Paul Band was a Southern rock band formed in 1977 when guitarist & founding member of The Outlaws Henry Paul left to front his own band. They are best known for their songs "So Long" and "Grey Ghost", the latter of which was dedicated to Ronnie Van Zant. Both songs were from their first album. After the band's final album in 1983, Henry rejoined The Outlaws for several years, and the reunion produced one album in 1986. He later went on to co-found the band BlackHawk, which produced a string of albums from 1995 to 2002 that included several Top 10 songs and albums.
