Henry Jelf

Henry Jelf (August 27, 1877 — April 18, 1944) was an English cricketer. Jelf was born in Aldershot and died in Southport. Jelf appeared in ten games for Derbyshire during the 1910 and 1911 seasons, scoring more runs in his debut season than in his second. Jelf was born in Hampshire and died in Lancashire.

Jelf debuted against Surrey in the 1910 season, finishing with just one run from his first two innings, though his batting form improved over the next few matches, making good scores in the first innings of matches on various occasions.

When Derbyshire finished in fourteenth place in the 1911 County Championship, Jelf found himself out of the team, and was not to play first class cricket again. His brother, Wilfrid, three years Henry's junior, was born in Canada and appeared for Leicestershire during the 1911 season.
