Henry Canning. Born 8th July 1774. Died Hamburg 3rd February 1841. Married to Mary Preyer (or Prior).
He was appointed HM Consul General in Hamburg (including also consular responsibilities in respect of Bremen) on the 29th November 1823. At least 1 child. First cousin of 'Prime Minister' George Canning 1770 - 1827 and brother of diplomat Stratford Canning 1786 - 1880.
