Henninger is the largest of four city schools in the Syracuse City School District. Given its student population of 1,700, Henninger participates in both boys and girls Section III, Class AA athletics. Henninger won the State Championship for basketball, in 2002.
Henninger has many sports including boys Basketball, Football, Lacrosse, Bowling, Soccer, Hockey (Corcoran), golf and Track. As well as girls Basketball, Soccer, Volleyball, Bowling, lacrosse, and track. [Image:http://weblink.scsd.us/school/Henninger.jpg]]
Henninger also has a drama club that performs 2 to 3 plays a year
