Hemitaeniochromis urotaenia is a species of fish endemic to Lake Malawi in East Africa.[1] The species is the only representative of the monotypic genus Hemitaeniochromis, and is part of family Cichlidae in subfamily Pseudocrenilabrinae.[1]
