[edit] Altruism

There is an article on altruism which talks about psychology and sociology. I'm unsure what to do here - do we move this article to Altruism (psychology and sociology)? That might be a better name. The article also needs a rewrite... I have not got enough knowledge of the subject area or wikipedia to do this though. --82.152.248.87 (talk) 17:10, 20 January 2008 (UTC)

Joo> I don't think this is so: "In social psychology, the everyday concept of helpfulness is technically defined as (1) the property of providing useful assistance, and (2) friendliness evidenced by a kindly and helpful disposition [syn: kindliness]."

I obtained the definition from an online non-technical dictionary.

[edit] Who to help?

I'm here to tackle a an issue that is quite paradoxical. Is helping someone do a terrible thing is still helping, only one that one person benefits, while others suffer? Unsigned

What do you mean? Is helping what? helping is a very unspecific term. Try Altrusim --82.152.248.87 (talk) 17:10, 20 January 2008 (UTC)
