I am a helms and find this article of our heratige and descendants very interesting... Jesse Helms is my Grandfathers cousin and I was wondering where he is now and how he was and what he is and was politically. My grandfather served in the war in germany.. and i never knew where we came from on my fathers side so it obviously is german. My mother was a Helms as a maiden, and my father is a helms so i have Helms in both bloodlines. My mothers side is mostly cherrokee indian, here a native of the usa, in north carolina. This article has helped me find out who i am and where i came from. If anyone knows anything else about the bloodlines of the Helms please let me know. -Mariah Helms
