Helmut Lennartz

Helmut Lennartz was a former German Luftwaffe fighter ace during World War II. He is credited with 13 aerial victories, including eight victories while flying the Messerschmitt Me-262 jet fighter.[1] He is noted for achieving the first aerial victory over a B-17 Flying Fortress on 15 August 1944 while flying the Messerschmitt Me 262 jet fighter.[2]
