Heineman Middle School was opened in 2005 and its sister school is Marlowe Middle School. It is located on the Squarebarn Road Campus. It was opened after Huntley Middle School closed. Heineman has over 1000 students. The grades are divided in to teams for example 6-1 and 6-2 for the 6th grade. The mascot is the Hawks and there colors are white/silver and blue. Students from Huntley and the Algonquin area attend the school. Students have 8 classes and a study hall. The students have 3 quarters of PE and 1 quarter of Health every year.

Romeo and Winnifred(upcoming play)directed be 8th grade teachers.

the first time ever to hms, we have a dance/poms team that has been organized by Dance Force Studios. There will be 4 home game the girls will preform at for girls basketball.
Practices are from 3:30- 5:30 every thursday in February.

The Students of Heineman Middle School are very active in their school activities. Thay Have commities such as Activities, Spirit, Athletics, and Recognition. These Commities Help contribute to activities such as student appretiation week, and red ribbon week. They get a reward at the end of the year. These students make sure the school activities are "educational" yet fun.

The school has a mini swamp area by the school. The grounds are tobacco and alcohol free. The Elementary schools McKabean and Conley also have there home on the Squarebarn Road Campus. Many of the students live in the surrounding neighborhoods and will walk or ride there bikes to school.

Exploratories are classes that help educate children and have fun.

Technology is a class where you can learn various subjects like Flight Technology, Practical Skills, and Sewing and Design. It is taught by Mr. Baser. The equipment manufactured in the lab is manufactured by Pitsco, which is the parent company of Synergistic Systems.

Foods is a class where you learn how to use food tools, food safety, and even cook food and eat it in class.

Chinese is the newest language shown to Heineman. It is only a choice of an exploritory to 8th graders that are on high honors or principals list. Many students enjoy this new language a lot.
