Heimiswil is a municipality in the district of Burgdorf in the canton of Bern in Switzerland.
Heimiswil is a small rural community of 1591 inhabitants. It is the town of origin for the Lüdi family, who make up the majority of the townsfolk. Heimiswil is also the town of origin for the Schertenleib family. There are more than 10 families listed where the name Schertenleib appears.
