Hedong Commandery

Hedong Commandery (traditional Chinese: 河東郡; simplified Chinese: 河东郡)

During the Qin and Han Dynasties, the Hedong Commandery was located in the area to the east of the Yellow River in Shanxi province (present day, Yuncheng). In Chapter one of Romance of the Three Kingdoms, Guan Yu states that he is from Xieliang County in the Hedong Commandery.
