Hector Nicol (died 1985) was a famous Scottish comedian, singer and actor born in Paisley.

Nicol starred in few shows during his career. His most notable role was that of a dying gangster in the BBC series Just a Boys' Game in 1979.

He also starred in Take the High Road, a famous Scottish Soap Opera

He wrote The Hearts Song for Heart of Midlothian FC and Glory, Glory to the Hibees for Hibernian FC . He also wrote the The Terrors of Tannadice for Dundee United FC and Dark Blue Of Dundee for Dundee FC.However, he supported St Mirren FC.^{[citation needed]}
