[edit] Proposed rename

I propose that this Category:Tanakh people should be renamed to the more widely-understood Category:Hebrew Bible people. The article Hebrew Bible says,

Many scholars advocate use of the term Hebrew Bible as a neutral substitute in English to be preferred in academic writing over Old Testament, which alludes to the Christian doctrine of supersessionism, and Tanakh, the common Hebrew acronym which may be unfamiliar in other languages.

I am proposing it here before taking it to WP:CFD in the hope that interested editors are watching this page.

Note that the once-overlapping category:Old Testament people has been depopulated in favour of this one, and currently remains as an empty redirect. - Fayenatic london (talk) 13:19, 27 June 2007 (UTC)
