[edit] Queen's University Belfast
Hi there. I was just wondering about your reasoning behind this edit, because you didn't include an edit summary and I'm not quite clear why you removed the sentence without one. Cordless Larry (talk) 15:39, 28 May 2008 (UTC)
- Hi - the edit summary slipped my mind, I'm usually careful with that. With regard to the actual edit, the information removed would seem to be quite irrelevant to introduce the university. Queen's could be said to 'have the only' of various things in Northern Ireland... --Heatley (talk) 15:48, 28 May 2008 (UTC)

- Yes, I agree now that the introduction isn't the place to mention that. I think it should be included somewhere in the article though because having a medical school is often seen as a marker of prestige for universities, and it's notable that it's the only one in Northern Ireland. - Perhaps a 'Faculties and Schools' section should be added? It's certainly a common feature of other university wikis and I can understand why: it gives an overview of the institution's teaching and research in a way more easier to pick up that simply naming subject areas. It would also highlight - if needed - that Queen's has a medical school. I'd also like to insert in the relevant section about Queen's participation in the Business Education Initiative. But not tonight... --Heatley (talk) 19:47, 3 June 2008 (UTC)
