HDAVETV

Hello, I'm Dave. I joined Wikipedia in February 2007. I have been a web designer and database developer since 1996 . Currently I work for Sungard Higher Education and help to produce the web site for Valencia Community College in Orlando, Florida. Previously I worked eight years at the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA) and before that for NBC-Universal. I have taught a number of management and computer related classes for UCLA Extension staff.

I hold a degree in Cinema/Television form the University of Southern California (USC) (A.B. degree 1987). I came up with the name HDAVETV because I am a fan of high definition television and thought it would be cool to throw my name into the middle of it. (It's been said that Leo's have to be the center of attention.) I enjoy writing and have written four screenplays. I am currently writing a fictional trilogy of novels titled Atlantis. I have done research on the subject of Atlantis for over twenty years, wrote a fifty page essay on the subject in 1991, worked on outlines for my novels for ten years and have spent the last two years completing the first one (not yet published).

I'm hoping that my wealth of experiences may allow me to contribute to already exisiting articles and sections of Wikipedia in order to help enrich them.
