HD 222501 and HD 222502 are two stars in a binary star system, separated from each other by about 10 arcseconds. They both have a spectral type of F8, meaning they have a surface temperature of 6,000 to 7,500 Kelvin, slightly hotter than the Sun. The brighter star, HD 222502, has an apparent magnitude of 7.73. Its dimmer companion has an apparent magnitude of 8.56.[1][2]
