[edit] Confusing category names

Please don't create any more categories in the form "X biography" as they create confusion with the categories in the standard form, which is "Fooian people". Please look at relevant existing categories before creating any category name to ensure you are following the relevant conventions. Thank you. Hawkestone 08:41, 7 September 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Note on adding full Eastern Orthodox Project to your watchlist

This is a note for members of the Eastern Orthodox Project: Since the project's main page has been converted to a portal-style box format, each of the boxes is actually its own page (you can see the page outside its box by clicking the 'Edit' link on any often the section boxes on the project page, which takes you to the edit page for its contents). Because of this, updates to individual box contents will not necessarily show up on editors' watchlists, if you've only got the main project page watched.

In order to keep up to date with all updates to the Project and its pages, I'd recommend adding each subpage to your watchlists. These are:

If you add all of the above pages to your watchlist, you should be informed whenever any part of the WikiProject Eastern Christianity is edited/updated. To discuss this, please see the relavent section of the Project's talk page. —Antonios Aigyptostalk 09:32, 7 September 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Dates

Did Nectarios (Kellis) of Madagascar die on 11 September of 9 November? Please always write out the month in Wikipedia articles as people from some countries use month-day while people from others use day-month. Hawkestone 10:39, 7 September 2006 (UTC)

I have entered the date in standard Wikipedia format 2004-09-11, which should display correctly in the date format setting of your computer. SteveH 04:24, 24 September 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Colin Winter-Wurmbrand

I understand that you are the main author of Colin Winter. There is a bit of a problem with the Richard Wurmbrand episode. Although after reading a quote from a Wurmbrand book (see talk page on Wurmbrand, unfortunately in German) I understand that Wurmbrand may actually have thought that nazism, communism and liberation theology were the same thing, it may be good for improving the text at Colin Winter if there were inline references to the articles in Die Suidwester. Quotes, therefore. There is a special way of doing that, and I can help you with it - it is not so easy, but it clarifies things and avoids charges of copyvio. Just send me the actual quotes from the articles you used. Of course, if they were to be found on the web, even in some google cache, that would be even greater. Note that an anonymous writer has already changed one "virtual quote" from Wurmbrand on the grounds that he cannot believe Wurmbrand would have said that.

Addendum: After reading a lot about this episode in Namibian religious history, I got the impression that Wurmbrand had actually come to Namibia to patch things up between the Lutheran churches and the South African government. That may be Original Research, but an editor at Richard Wurmbrand in my view used the same Original Research to write that Wurmbrand had come to support Colin Winter, which seems very strange after reading what happened later. I have tried to re-write the thing so that neither of these intentions are claimed. Unfortunately, in the best of Wikipedia traditions, I could now be accused of using weasel words.

I understand that you may be very busy, what with Easter coming up. So am I. I will follow your talk page, you do not need to switch to mine. Yours in Christ.--Paul Pieniezny (talk) 15:45, 18 March 2008 (UTC)
