[edit] Removed image

I've removed Image:Hawthorne at Night.jpg from the article. I believe the photo actually depicts Portland, Oregon and assume that "Hawthorne" in this case refers to the Hawthorne area of Portland. In any case, does Hawthorne, CA actually have a vertical lift bridge (or even a navigable waterway) as shown? -- Gyrofrog (talk) 00:52, 11 May 2006 (UTC)

Naw.....Hawthorne doesn't touch the ocean.

is it true Hawthorne has over 10,000 American Muslims? please help me find the link for demographic sources to back it up. The city's location to LAX, the US' busiest immigration port of entry explains the racial/ethnic diverse population: Latinos, Asians, Blacks (African or US born), Whites (European or middle-eastern), American Indians, Polynesians, etc. in one community. 207.200.116.196 06:32, 20 November 2006 (UTC)

Let's get rid of those lists and actually come up with an encyclopedic article describing Hawthorne. We need a History section for sure. Sincerely, GeorgeLouis (talk) 17:58, 19 January 2008 (UTC)

Well, nobody did anything about it, so I removed the Pop Culture list, which had no sources and was of marginal Notability at best. Sincerely, GeorgeLouis (talk) 07:56, 19 February 2008 (UTC)
