Hawthorne Math and Science Academy (HMSA) is a charter high school in Hawthorne, California, United States.
As of the 2006-2007 school year, is was ranked as the tenth best high school in California in terms of Academic Performance Index scores.[1] The current Principal is Joaquin Hernandez. The Assistant Principal is Esau Berumen (Former Biology Dept. Head). It is located at 4467 West Broadway in Hawthorne. The mission of HMSA is to provide high school students a rigorous, in-depth education, with a special emphasis on mathematics and science. Its first class to ever graduate had its commencement ceremony in June 2007.
