Hat Trick is the third original studio album by American folk rock trio America, released by Warner Bros. Records in 1973 (see 1973 in music).
The album was named "Hat Trick" only in part because it was the band's third production. Behind the scenes, percussionist Hal Blaine was perfecting his magic show. The band would later recall, "We just kept telling [Hal], we were like, 'Hey man, do that hat trick again, where you pull the stuff out of the hat,' and one day we realized, you know, there it was. That was going to be the name of the album."
The album was a modest hit in the US, peaking at 28 on the Billboard album chart. It produced one minor hit single, "Muskrat Love" which reached 67 on the Billboard singles chart and 11 on the Adult Contemporary chart.
