Talk:Hash House Harriers/Comments
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
The article on Hashing was easily the best and most comprehensive I have ever read. It is fair and accurate. I noticed that there were some comments from those who think that there might be something inappropriate contained in the article. It seems to me that someone out there is a little too sensative.
One of the great gifts we Hashers extend to one another is freedom from such trivial complaints. We are expressly politically incorrect. By this I mean that we all have relatively thick skin. We congregate with the understanding that there is no malice in our humor. Mutual tolerance and freedom of expression are mainstays in our Hashing communities. When we gather we afford each other freedom from this kind of scrutiny. There is no need to mind one's Ps and Qs. Pressure to conform to such restrictions can be found nearly everywhere else in society at large. Hashing provides refuge from such things. Let your hair down and be yourself. It's okay.
Other institutions could learn something from us. Get over it already.
