The various references differ over both his date of birth and death, as follows:
- "The Alphabet of the Saints" [1]gives his date of birth as April 1878, and death as 1950.
- www.allfootballers.com gives the date of birth as 26 October 1877 and death as 1950
- www.englandstats.com [1] gives his date of birth as 26 October 1877
- www.englandfootballonline [2] gives his date of birth as April 1878 and death as 1950
- www.englandfc.com [3] simply says "Born in 1877 - exact date unknown"
- The article on Bangor City managers at [4] gives the date of birth as 26th October 1877 and death as 12th September 1942
At present the aricle has gone with the latter dates.
