The Harpeth Hills Flying Monkey Marathon is an important marathon run in Nashville, TN. If Grandma's Marathon is "notable" enough to be mentioned in Wikipedia, then the Flying Monkey Marathon is too.

Also, the text that was deleted as "copyvio" was written by the Flying Monkey Marathon race director and copyright owner (Rosenbst). There was no copyright violation in posting it here. Bmenees 03:09, 26 August 2007 (UTC)

Have wikified, added references and meets notability criteria. Concern raised about copyvio, the text that was copied from elsewhere on the web belongs to me. However will alter text for wikipedia so that it is not a duplicate. Appreciate input from other wikiusers. This article about the marathon continues to receive questions about its notability. No specifics about why others believe it not to be notable are ever provided. Without these concerns clearly articulated, they cannot be addressed. The current authors generally believe the topic to be notable in that it has received significant coverage in reliable sources that are independent of the subject, as indicated by the numerous external references and links, with more coming in the next months. In addition, as this article suggests, there is little risk in keeping the marathon article around. Before adding the tag questioning notability in the future, please provide specific details about what you perceive to be missing, as any topic non-expert should according to Wikipedia guidelines.
