This is in "One Look", for a start, I know it was a wonderful effort on your parts, this Wikification of London, but as this is now making its rounds in various search-engines and will be seen world-wide, I can't quite get my head round this, Harlesden being near Purley and Coulsdon. What do you think, you lovely people? :-) --Dieter Simon 02:02 Mar 15, 2003 (UTC)

The article appears interested in discussing demographics of crime. The subject matter is simply a place. I am moving the superfluous information here to be included at a later date if a balance of demographic information is intended.

[edit] Superfluous Info

Harlesden never suffered the problems of racial tension or rioting like Brixton or Notting Hill. In recent years, however Harlesden been the subject of a documentary, and there has also been a number of infamous drive-by shootings [1]. The area is slowly becoming gentrified [2] but remains somewhat notorious for the high crime rate, one of the highest in the borough. Of particular infamy is the Stonebridge Estate. Most of the houses are Victorian terraces and parking is controlled by parking permits.
