Harold "Harry" Slater was a fictional character in the popular BBC soap opera EastEnders. He was played by the late Michael Elphick.

He arrived in Walford in May 2001 to visit his older brother, Charlie Slater. He became a love interest for Peggy Mitchell and they planned to marry and emigrate to Spain, where Harry lived.

A shock was in store when it was revealed that Harry had sexually abused his niece Kat Slater when she was 13 years old and Zoe was the result. Zoe was initially thought to have been Kat's sister but she was in fact her and Harry's daughter. Charlie didn't know the father was Harry so he decided to raise Zoe as his own daughter and Kat had to become her sister. Harry had fled to Spain soon after and didn't reappear until the death of his and Charlie's sister, Violet in 1988. After Violet's funeral, Harry quickly left again.

The 18-year secret was finally uncovered on 1 October 2001 when Zoe announced she was leaving Walford to live with Harry in Spain. When Kat refused to let her go, Zoe shouted out "You can't tell me what to do, you ain't my mother!". Then Kat responded by shouting out "Yes I am"! When Zoe demanded that Kat tell her who her real father is, Kat shocked her by revealing the father was Harry. When Charlie discovered this, he threw Harry out of Walford, telling him to never return again, and his engagement to Peggy ended.

On 1 February 2002, four months after leaving Walford, Charlie received news that Harry had died from a heart attack in Spain.
