Harry A. Cole

Harry A. Cole, Sr. (born 1909) is an American chemist who invented Pine-Sol, the biggest-selling household cleaner.

A native of Jackson, Mississippi, Harry Cole, in 1929, created Pine-Sol, a detergent smelling of pine inspired by the many pine trees growing around his home. His invention was stolen, and he later created his own company, H. A. Cole Products Co.
