Harri Anne Smith is a Republican member of the Alabama Senate, representing the 29th District since 1998. She has been elected to three terms in the State Senate and is also a former mayor of her hometown of Slocomb, Alabama.
Senator Smith has declared her candidacy for the open 2nd Congressional District seat, which includes Montgomery and the Wiregrass region of Alabama. If elected she will be the first woman elected to Congress from Alabama in her own right.
Senator Smith is married to Charles Smith and is a resident and native of the Wiregrass.
