Harley Pasternak (born August 6, 1974) is a Canadian personal trainer, public speaker and author best known for the 5-Factor Diet, a popular diet and fitness lifestyle that advocates eating five meals a day, each of which must include five components (lean protein, carbohydrates low to moderate on the glycemic index, 5-10 grams of fiber, healthy fats and a sugar free beverage), as well as completing 5-Factor Workout, which requires a minimum of only 25 minutes, five times a week.

Pasternak holds a Masters of Science in Exercise Physiology and Nutritional Sciences from the University of Toronto, an Honors Degree in Kinesiology from the University of Western Ontario and American College of Sports Medicine and the Canadian Society of Exercise Physiology.

Harley's first book, 5-Factor Fitness (Putnam, 2005) was a number one top seller in its category at Barnes & Noble and Amazon.com. Spanish, Portuguese, Russian and German editions have also been released. Hs second book, 5-Factor Diet (Meredith, 2006) made The New York Times Best-Sellers list.
