Hare Park & Crofton railway station
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Crofton railway station was a train station located on the Wakefield Line. It served the village of Crofton, West Yorkshire, which is located around 3 miles to the south of Wakefield. The station closed in the late 1960s, yet recently, there has been speculation whether a new station should be built at the Hare Park site. The village has at the moment a population of around 6,000, and has only 3 bus routes that run through the centre of the village. A train station, many people of the village would say, would be good for the village to grow upon.[who?]
