[edit] Welcome
Hello Hannah! Firstly, the official welcome:
Welcome!
Hello, Hannahs Prayer, and welcome to Wikipedia! Thank you for your contributions. I hope you like the place and decide to stay. Here are some pages that you might find helpful:
- The five pillars of Wikipedia
- How to edit a page
- Help pages
- Tutorial
- How to write a great article
- Manual of Style
I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian! Please sign your name on talk pages using four tildes (~~~~); this will automatically produce your name and the date. If you need help, check out Wikipedia:Questions, ask me on my talk page, or ask your question and then place {{helpme}} after the question on your talk page. Again, welcome!
Secondly, thank you for your apology for your edit to Ethelred the Unready, from before you got a proper user name. I hope you understand that I wasn't trying to be nasty when I said that if you carried on vandalising Wikipedia you could be blocked. There are lots of people here trying to make a really good encyclopedia, and some silly people who think it's fun to spoil their work, and quite a few people who think they know things that are wrong. It isn't always easy to tell the people who are just wrong from the people being silly.
You can read anything you want on Wikipedia, but it might be best to start with if you check with a grown-up (not just your sister!) before you change anything. You can say most things on people's talk pages but it's best to be polite. Also, remember that when you put something anywhere on Wikipedia then anyone can read it, so don't go saying your address or telephone number or your e-mail, not ever.
Have fun! Philip Trueman 18:02, 8 March 2007 (UTC)
