Hangthwaite castle is a 11th century motte and bailey.I have dug up this information from pictures and website.i have been and had a look at the site a number of times.I have discovered that there is another part to the castle that i never looked at.I discovered a 13th century manor house.after a lot of research i have discovered that the house was founded by Sir Robert De Everingham. ir Robert De Everingham

Sir Robert De Everingham The owner of Cantley in 1280.The owner of the manor house at Adwick Le Street called The Radcliffe Moat. The large rectangle platform can be still seen in the winter or on Google maps. Radcliffe moat is located off the Great North Road Doncaster 4 miles of the A638.
