[edit] New album art and title revealed

The new album, according to the official website, Myspace and mailing list, is to be called Zwanzig Zwölf. I've already updated the bio and discography, but haven't made an article yet. The tracklist is on the Metropolis Records page - http://www.metropolis-records.com/artists/?artist=HuG - is anyone willing to make the article?.:Stirb Nicht Vor Mir:. [edit] Pro-Nazi?

Mistakingly interpreted as pro-Nazi? I don't think there's anything mistaken about it-- that's exactly the image the band is trying to create, that of a hardcore German metal band with strong influences from black metal, which is where their albums have gravitated to, with the pro-Nazi, anti-semitic-, and anti-Christian themes present in black metal.

I'd like to see a cite for why this is being presented as "mistakingly"... I have heard Uber Alles and technically it's a very well done album, but all of its content just seems to suggest trying to fill a "void" for German-themed black metal that actual German bands are forbidden by law to do.

The German lyrics in their music are also very simple, intermixed heavily with English, and break many grammatical rules, so I don't see how HuG is becoming anything but German-themed black metal targeted towards an American audience. I doubt the band members themselves are "pro-Nazi", but the album and lyrics most certainly are, and I challenge the original author to provide a cite for his claims.

--To the author of the above passage: I challenge you to site a source for calling HuG "strongly influenced by black metal." You clearly have no understanding of black metal.

--I feel that mistakenly interpreted as pro-Nazi is acurate. This is a satire of a Nazi-like totalitarian and militaristic regime. If they were pro-nazi they would at least try to do it right, not with the completely over the top image.

I (german guy) really can't imagine that they're really pro-Nazi, although some (obviously english speaking) "aryan" guys really praised them i forum. the reason is simple: the german is *cough* not quite *cough* correct and the lyrics are so beyond anything that could be taken serious ... but well, yes, ... whoever desperately wants to think of them as nazis will find enough reasons to do that. if i was a (german speaking *G*) nazi, i'd actually find song titles such as "ss deathstar intergalactic" quite "blasphemous". but i must add this kind of behaviour is probably not something i would tolerate in a german band (bellyfellwise). just my POV. 84.57.244.42 17:14, 3 December 2006 (UTC)

-- The band is obviously capitalizing on the S&M fetish look of PVC and the look of Nazi uniform and dress as many industrial type bands do. It is not properly pro-Nazi... they use Nazi imagery and Nazi samples in their music in order to display their feelings toward government in general. Manson has used Nazi themes, as have Pink Floyd and pretty much every other "shock" band that can afford it. The look is striking and instills a memorable atmosphere and tone. Its marketing, plain and simple.

[edit] Past Drummer

Does anyone know if the drummer, only known as "Seven", that was in the band from 1996 to 1998 is the same drummer as the one credited as "Seven", currently in Scum of the Earth?Pookythegreat 05:52, 20 September 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Fair use rationale for Image:Hug logo.png

Image:Hug logo.png is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.
