[edit] Feud with David Allan Coe

Come on ya'll, no mention of his fued with David Allan Coe and how Coe accused Hank, Jr. of selling out and not upholding his fathers "Family Tradition"?

What fued with DAC? I've always heard that they were good friends. I think you need to re-check what you are saying. Alakey2010 Thursday, May 04, 2006 4:34 PM.
I've never heard of any feud with Coe either. I've always heard that they've been pretty good friends. If I'm not mistaken, Coe wrote and recorded a sort of tribute song to Hank called "Hank Williams Jr. Junior." One of the songs most memorable lines involves Coe not calling "Hank Williams Jr. Junior anymore" signaling that he respected Hank, his music, and his musical direction.Odin's Beard 00:00, 13 June 2006 (UTC)
I'm pretty sure that that is referring to Hank Williams, Jr's son Hank Williams III who did an album with David Allan Coe.

[edit] Early Life & Career?

It says "and that his identical to those of Hank Williams" can someone tell me what that means in english?

[edit] RIAA reference failure

The reference links are all the same - when the RIAA webpage has to post data to query its database (which is not included in the link) a hyperlink is not useful. This should be fixed. I would fix it, but I'm not sure what should be done. Link all to the RIAA search page?

Hmmm, I'm not exactly sure what can be done about it either. I went to the searchable database on the RIAA website a little while ago and all the listings various RIAA certifications are accurate. Aside from possible fan websites, which can often be unreliable due to personal bias, I don't know where else his listings of RIAA certifications can be found.Odin's Beard 23:40, 16 May 2007 (UTC)

[edit] 1980s Young Country

Just thought it would be interesting to mention a couple of his colaborations with the New Country crowd between his peak in the 80's and the new generation of country artists that are refered to ... when he recorded with many of them such as Highway 101, Marty Stuart, Keith Whitley, Steve Earl .. on "Young Country".

Mind you, it was not long after that "If the South Would a Won" came out and I was working in Country Radio at the time at a major station in Canada, mind you, that was not apt to play it, I'm sure that was near the beginning of his slide for a while and wonder if that was a coincidence? Just wondering if there's any facts on that or research worth metioning.

[edit] Superstar?

The use of this seems non-NPOV, not to mention that this is the only place I have seen Hank Williams Jr described as such. Buster 20:54, 18 August 2007 (UTC)

I have a link here that states that Hank Williams Jr. sang the Canyonero song on The Simpsons Episode: The Last Temptation of Krust-please verify this: http://www.snpp.com/episodes/5F10 Silent 9:28, 28 August 2007 (UTC)
