[edit] Summary
This scan demonstrates the (possible) difference in Hungarian handwriting between the double dot (umlaut/diaraesis) and the double acute diacritic marks using my own hand as an example.
The two sentences read: "Az amúgy is köves út különösen fárasztónak tűnt a nyári hőségben." (The way that was stony per se seemed especially tiring in the summer heat) and "A hobbitok ügyesen kicselezték a Gyűrűk Urát." (The hobbits cunningly tricked the Lord of the Rings).
You can see an example of a more formal (though not primary school teacher's hand) style and a rather casual one.
