Hansengross is a small bag company started in 2006 by designer Alexandra Gross and Danish journalist Mikkel Hansen. The company is based in New York City and specializes in socially responsible, locally produced items - often made in limited editions. Each collection consists of bags for men, women, and travel.
In 2008 the company has been mentioned for its fusion of underground and tradition, as on the cover of Women's Wear Daily (December 27th, 2007) and in fashion magazines like Nylon (Winter 2008) from New York, Vs. (Spring/Summer 2008) from Copenhagen, and several others.
The brand name is often spelled Hansen-Gross or Hansen Gross. The correct spelling is HANSENGROSS.
