Hansen Mountains (68°16′S, 58°47′E) is a large group of nunataks lying 55 miles south of Stefansson Bay and extending 25 miles in a NW-SE direction. It was mapped by Norwegian cartographers from air photos taken by the Lars Christensen Expedition, 1936-37, and named for H.E. Hansen, the Norwegian cartographer who compiled the maps for this and other Norwegian Antarctic expeditions.
